The case that the prosecutor Diego Luciani leads the “Roadway” case, incriminating 13 public figures in Argentina; the most controversial is that of the former president and current vice president of the Nation, Cristina Fernández de Kirchner.
After two days of arguments in which the prosecutor presented different evidence, yesterday, Tuesday, he referred to the tenders for the works that were awarded to Lázaro Báez’s company, which were simulated. 4 of the 51 bids were displayed in detail to show what Diego Luciani called “fiction”, in terms of competition.

Alejandro Finocchiaro, deputy for the Republican Proposal, referred to the need to protect Diego Luciani and reminded prosecutor Alberto Nisman.
Words of Finocchario
Deputy Finocchiario tweeted: “Prosecutor Diego Luciani is doing a commendable and courageous job. It is never easy to prosecute power, much less a power with mafia characteristics. The government should take great care of him.”.
What Luciani declared
Yesterday and through a Zoom meeting, to which Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner did not connect, the allegations began: “There was rude and unacceptable targeting and a complete lack of control. It was impossible for it to be allowed if it was not because the order came from the highest of the Executive Power. The competition was a fiction”.
At the same time, he affirmed that all types of “healthy and efficient” administrations are obliged to award the work to a company that makes “the most convenient offer, not to a friendly businessman.” In that sense, he maintained: “We are going to see that in 47 of the 51 works that we analyzed, this function should have been fulfilled by the Santa Cruz pre-award study commission. We are in a position to ensure that a real serious and detailed analysis was never carried out.”
Throughout this bidding process, Luciani defended that “we acted quickly, quickly” and that “not only were the bids a fiction, but everything that happened afterwards”; but his words did not stop there: “It is very easy to deduce that there was no competition. Only the Báez companies competed with each other; they should have prevented this bidding from going forward in this way and rejected the offer because there was no real competition”.

There were four tenders, which he called steps on a long but unstoppable road: “In each of these tenders we are showing a path that was built little by little. The first tender served to give instructions, organize and establish know-how; the second was to test the structure that remained in the Road Agency, in which the structure transferred to the DNV was tested to make the adjustments”. And so it continued The prosecutor until Sergio Mola took the floor.
