Despite the inflationary context that surrounds the world and that affects some countries with greater firmness -as in ours-, the arrival of the spring to the southern hemisphere implies that the population has new consumption. And this was demonstrated by Focus Market, a consultancy that is dedicated to marketing, ergo, to market research.
The consultant took 2,650 cases to carry out this survey related to the station that opens today and, in this way, a Top 10 of the consumptions that Argentines prefer with the arrival of the spring.

Focus Market assured that the first five activities in which the Argentine population prefers to invest are the following: Gastronomy, Tourism, Gymnasium, Sporting Goods, and Ice Cream Shop. These preferences are different from last year. Damián Di Pace, director of the company, stated: “Although the loss of purchasing power of the Argentine peso is falling and Argentine families have problems filling their baskets of goods and services, given the arrival of the spring the time preference for increased spending is consolidated”.
Di Pace continued his words: “Argentines come from 2 previous years with social restrictions that made it impossible to carry out social, cultural and sports activities typical of this season.” And the figures? In the case of going out three times a month, $7,600 will be spent; having ice cream four times a month will cost $4,700; in the case of the gym, $9,500. The total expense would be an additional $21,800 per month.
And, of course, inflation causes a more than notorious loss of purchasing power in the wallets of the population of our nation. There, Di Pace marks: “Argentines have little margin to increase their usual expenses and need to oxygenate their pockets with financing for their occasional ones.”
The economist referred to the different state strategies: “The Now 12 Plans, with a subsidized rate by the Government, grow by more than 170% and, in the case of 24 installments, their year-on-year use increased by 250%. Two of the items with the most seasonality Spring are the ones chosen to finance, as is the case of clothing and tourism “”.
In case of looking to renew the clothing to return to the gym this season, the person would spend an average of $37,900 (shirt, shorts or tights and sneakers). In case of looking for a trip, I would spend an average of $152,000 for a week in a mid-level hotel; occasional spending would total close to $190,000.
