During the press conference that he offered next to the governor of the State of Mexico, Alfredo del Mazo Maza, the US diplomat explained that the legislator will meet with the local president to learn more about what is the concern or reason for refusing to attend the summit with the other heads of state of the continent.
Salazar announced that the American politician will not only meet with the Mexican president, it will also do it with other officials in order to advance in the negotiations and to achieve the goal of having the majority of representatives in the discussions.
“I don’t know where we are going to get to the Summit of the Americas, but for the United States it is very important that Mexico participate, that is why the head of the Summit of the Americas will be here on Wednesday”
In addition, the ambassador highlighted that Dodd is one of President Biden’s most trusted menwho also, he stressed, knows the area very well and has worked closely in strengthening the relationship between Mexico, the United States and the other American countries.

Through his official Twitter account, he notified that maintains constant communication with the Secretary of State of the United States, Antony Blinken; In addition, he announced that it will be the Foreign Ministry who receives the former legislator for the meeting.
