Frida Nordstrand became emotional when she talked about the tragedy in Sandviken.
Frida Nordstrand is most often seen in connection with TV4’s sports broadcasts in general and football broadcasts in particular.
She is out and about traveling the world to report on some of the world’s very best soccer players. In addition, she is a key person in TV4’s line-up in the long-standing football tournament Champions League.
– But become very aware that little things that you worry about don’t mean anything at a time like this. The important thing about what we are doing is that football should be enjoyed. An event like this is a reminder that you focus on the wrong things sometimes, Nordstrand has previously said.
Frida Nordstrand, who previously also worked at Nent, which owns, among other things, Viaplay with the channels TV3 and TV6 at the helm, suffered great sadness last year.
In May 2021, 15-year-old Emilia, soccer player in Sandvikens IF, died in a car accident. She was on her way home from a cup in Borlänge with her mother on the E16 when they collided head-on and both died.
Frida Nordstrand’s grief after the terrible accident: “Goes straight to the heart”
TV4 profile Frida Nordstrand was born and raised in Sandviken and has a strong relationship with the club.
– I have had a very good contact with the club even when I moved away, especially in recent years. It is a club that does an incredible amount of charitable causes and that I myself have been involved in and worked with, says Nordstrand in a previous interview with Expressen and continues:
– It goes straight to the heart. You can relate to so much, it’s a young girl with a future ahead of her. And who has been on the road doing what she loves and mom drives. They have a family they will never come home to.
Frida Nordstrand is currently current as a presenter in connection with the football World Cup on TV4. She will lead the channel’s broadcasts together with Anna Brolin and a couple of other experts.
