At the ceremony, together with the head of the Sedena, was: Rosa Icela RodriguezSecretary of Security and Citizen Protection, the Undersecretary Augustine Radilla; the Senior Officer, Gabriel Garcia Rincon; Chief of the Defense Staff, Ricardo Trevilla Trejo; the Inspector and Comptroller of the Army and Air Force, Carlos Arturo Pancardo Escudero; and the commander of the National Guard, Luis Rodriguez Bucio.
Sandoval González made a guard of honor to the coffin that carried a National flagwhich was withdrawn and delivered to the relatives of General José Silvestre, from the hands of the Secretary of National Defense.
“Today we say goodbye to a great human being, a soldier exemplary man who leaves an indelible mark on our institution and a legacy of values that he preached by example during his military life, making great contributions to the aggrandizement of Mexico and our armed institute”ended.
