In the person of goalkeeper Erik Hanses, EHC Lustenau was able to announce another enormously important contract extension for the AHL 2022/23.

The 31-year-old Swedish goalkeeper drove the opposing strikers to despair with extreme saves. Especially in the decisive phases of the season, he was able to improve again and was the safe support for EHC Lustenau in the play-off series. Throughout the season, he recorded a catch rate of 92.80 percent. In the play-off he was able to increase this rate to 93.20 percent – a top value in the Alps Hockey League.

“Erik is the necessary support that you need in this league to be able to play at the top. With his routine and charisma, he brings calm to the defense and can keep the team in the game in difficult situations,” said President Herbert Oberscheider.

Erik Hanses is also looking forward to continued cooperation. “I really liked the entire environment in Lustenau and the club last year. I feel very comfortable in this team. I think we’ll have a good season again,” said goalkeeper Erik Hanses.
