Google will launch a Pixel Watch and a Pixel Tablet

This is the particularity of the 2022 edition of the I/O conference: Google gave a small preview of its future products, whether it is the Pixel 7, the Pixel Watch or the Pixel Tablet.

It took until the very end of the Google I/O conference for the Mountain View firm to really show its cards, giving news of its products, but also giving a glimpse of what the future will hold. We were thus treated to a first appearance of the Pixel 7 smartphone, but also the presentation of a watch and a tablet.

The two products, aptly nicknamed PixelWatch and Pixel Tabletare expected for this fall, like the pixel 7. It is interesting to note that this is the first time that Google has opted for a first teaser in advance of its future products, as if the American company does not want to be grilled politeness by possible leakers.

Since this is a peek at what’s in store for its customer base, Google hasn’t gone into too much detail about each product. The company has made it known that its products have been designed by it from A to Z. The watch displays a circular dial, with a domed relief on the top. The crown of the watch is advertised as tactile, while the finish is stainless steel.

This connected watch will be able to carry out all the missions that are usually entrusted to this type of product. It will offer features for paying, for health and wellness information, weather and exercise tracking, and so on. It will be able to connect to third-party devices, like the Pixel 7.

Google’s Pixel Tablet

Google has also very slightly lifted the veil on a future tablet of its own, which has been christened very logically… Pixel Tablet. It is expected for a little later, because the American company has mentioned a commercial launch rather for 2023. Very few elements have been delivered for the moment, except that it will run with a Tensor chip.

This processor, which equips the Pixel 6 and the Pixel 6 Pro, and soon the Pixel 7 (with a more successful version), is an in-house system on chip designed by Google. Like Apple, the Mountain View company wants to have greater control over this part of the hardware. Tensor chips are unique in that they provide capabilities in machine learning, an area of ​​AI.

The conference was also an opportunity for Google to talk about several services under development or in the process of being deployed. This is the case of “multisearch near me”, to find what you want near you, and a generator of virtual bank cards. The Mountain View company also presented an evolution of its “OK Google” command to integrate the gaze.
