GTA 6: Rockstar Games reacts to the huge leak, soon a presentation?

After the huge leak on GTA 6 with more than 90 videos in the wild, the development studio Rockstar Games takes the floor. A leak that will rush the presentation or lead to a postponement of the game?

This Sunday, the video game industry experienced a historic leak with the huge leak of GTA 6. Rockstar Games shared its official reaction on Twitter.

GTA 6: Rockstar Games’ response to the leak

Through its official press release, Rockstar Games confirms that the GTA 6 leak is real. It’s not an ultra-elaborate fake, but more than 90 videos of a developer version that have been made public. But we knew it since the journalist Jason Schreier had intervened to validate the leak.

According to the company, the leaks do not endanger current development. Similarly, Rockstar does not foresee any long-term changes to their inner workings. We imagine all the same that there will be an investigation and probably a drastic reinforcement of security at the very least.

A message from Rockstar Games

We recently experienced a network intrusion in which an unauthorized third party illegally accessed and downloaded confidential information from our systems, including early development images of the upcoming GTA. At this time, we do not anticipate any disruption to our services and this will not have any long-term effect on our product development.. Nor any long-term effect on the development of our current projects.

We are extremely disappointed that details about our upcoming game are being shared with you in this way. Our work on the next Grand Theft Auto game will continue as planned, and we remain as committed to providing you, our players, with an experience that truly exceeds your expectations. We’ll let you know soon and of course we’ll give you a proper preview of this next game when it’s ready.. We would like to thank everyone for their continued support in this situation.

Team Rockstar.

And for the proper presentation? It will intervene only when the teams are ready and not before. Knowing that the release could take place in 2024 or 2025, at best, there is time. Rockstar nevertheless talks about us “keep posted soon”… With a teaser? Information that would corroborate Jason Schreier’s indiscretions about the female playable character and such?
