Eidos Montreal and Square Enix are already showing the official launch trailer for the action adventure Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, which will be available for PC and consoles later this month. In it we see some new impressions from the crazy adventure in which Star-Lord, Rocket, Groot, Drax and Gamora have to save the galaxy again.
A new Guardians adventure
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy tells a new and independent story, which of course is based on the framework of the comics or the two MCU films. Players take on the role of Star-Lord, the self-proclaimed leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy. The colorfully mixed up heroes slide from one chaos to the next in their attempt to save the universe and will certainly not leave out one or the other slip.
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is designed as a pure single-player experience, but there is no multiplayer or co-op mode. Decisions that have unexpected consequences, different team tactics and customization options for the characters should still provide plenty of variety.
The now released launch trailer is accompanied by the song “Kickstart My Heart” by Mtley Cre. In total, the game’s soundtrack is said to contain over 30 licensed songs from the 1980s. Just recently, Square Enix also had an animated music video for the song “Zero to Hero” by the band Star-Lord published.
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy will be released on October 26, 2021 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S and as a cloud version for Nintendo Switch. Pre-orderers also secure the “Retro Guardian” outfit package.
