After finding $ 20,000 in cash inside the former presidential secretary’s office, Bruno PachecoCriticism and questions fell from all sides and of all kinds against the government of the day, which fuels the intentions of the opposition to evacuate President Pedro Castillo.

Faced with such a panorama, one of the first to come out in defense of the Executive was the congressman from Peru Libre, Guillermo Bermejo, who took advantage of his speech in plenary today for the debate on the 2022 Budget to confront the congressmen who promote the vacancy.

The official legislator stated that “you have to have a certain moral authority to demand things in this country “ and made reference to the former advisor of Alberto Fujimori, Vladimiro Montesinos, sentenced for various crimes committed under said regime.

“The Prosecutor’s Office has to do its job, nobody denies it. Regarding the Secretary of the Government Palace, who no longer works (there), from here we urge the Prosecutor’s Office to do its job ”, Bermejo indicated.

Immediately afterwards, the parliamentarian from Peru Libre added that in the case of Pacheco “They have not found anyone distributing money in the SIN room”, which caused discomfort among the congressmen of the Popular Force bench.

“Here the Public Prosecutor’s Office has been allowed to enter the Government Palace, here prosecutors have not been invented to enter the house of Vladimiro Montesinos and steal the videos of corruption, as they did in the 90s to demonstrate the link between drug trafficking and Fujimori. When Montesinos collected quotas from drug traffickers in this country, so you have to have a certain moral authority to demand things in this country “he continued.

Along these lines, Bermejo said that “we should demand the same from those in charge (in reference to the Fuerza Popular bench) to tell us where the secret accounts of Vladimiro Montesinos are, we should ask them to tell us where all the money is that Alberto Fujimori stole from the country ”.

“From here we also demand that the Prosecutor’s Office act and that the end be reached, that it investigate, that it find out. (…) do not ask to do what you did in the 90s, which is to handle the public prosecutor’s office as if it were a hoax, to put prosecutors with first and last names to see cases in a timely manner, that is not going to happen in this democracy, that the The prosecution acts as it should, but do not use it to politicize an issue that is under investigation and, as I reiterate, if you want to have a little moral authority, tell all your inmates to tell where the money that was stolen from Peru is “, he asserted.
