Reboot of the movie of the same title directed by Joe Wright and written by series creator David Farr, Hanna ends at the end of the third season, available from November 25 on Amazon Prime Video.
Hanna, the American action series of Amazon Prime Video, launched in 2019 on the platform, is back for its third and final season. Originally based on the film of the same name, released in 2011, (Does the series live up to the movie?), It follows the journey of Hanna (Esme Creed-Miles), a murderous, genetically modified teenage girl. as part of the UTRAX program. After training with Erik (Joel Kinnaman), the man who looked like a father to her, and having lived in the forest, Hanna finds ex-CIA agent Marissa (Mireille Enos), a former enemy who has become their ally in order to destroy UTRAX.
Hanna embarks on her ultimate mission
At the end of season 2, Marissa retains Meadows director John Carmichael (Dermot Mulroney). What is she going to do with him? Around Hanna, Marissa and Carmichael, Sandy (Aine Rose Daly) and Jules (Gianna Kiehl) are also making their comeback. New characters are added to the cast, whose most interesting arrival is that of Ray Liotta, who plays the character arguably the only one who can scare Marissa. At the start of this third season, Hanna returns to The Meadows, with her cover, as a loyal Utrax intern through the kiss of John Carmichael, who runs the intern program, and who is forced by Marissa. As the interns prepare for their first missions, Marissa contacts a CIA analyst in Vienna who is on the target list and manipulates him to obtain information.
A mixed conclusion
While the series bears the title of the murderous young heroine, it is the character of Marissa that is at the center of the third season and the evolution she has experienced over the past two seasons. As was the case with previous opus, the series transports the viewer to various places in the world, such as Vienna and Berlin, and the action sequences, whose actors had revealed behind the scenes, remain spectacular. Season 3 ofHanna has six episodes in total, which is two episodes less than the previous two seasons, which tightens the plot and avoids lengths. As for the last episode, the finale should satisfy the faithful of the series but leaves some doubts.
Hanna’s journey doesn’t seem quite over. Who knows, the young fighter could one day make a comeback. This first role could launch the career of Esme Creed-Miles. If the CV of the young actress is still little fleshed out, Esme Creed-Miles who is none other than the daughter of Samantha Morton, the British actress seen among others in The Walking Dead and Fantastic Beasts, should quickly find the small screen.
