Having sex four times a week helps eliminate bladder stones

Urologists from Surabaya Airlangga Universitas reviewed five studies on the topic. They included 406 participants who were told to have sex or masturbate three to four times a week or to refrain from either activity.

Dr. Yudhistira Pradnyan Kloping and his team examined how sexual acts affected the number of kidney stones expelled in each group and the time it took to do so.


The results show that the expulsion rate was 5.7 times higher in the sexually active group. And it was also expected that calculations were expelled more quickly among those who had sex or masturbated.

Meanwhile, the number of people needing relief from pain due to kidney stones it was 62% lower in the sexually active group. And the proportion of people who needed laser treatment to break the calculation it was a fifth smaller.

The researchers concluded: “Having intercourse or masturbating three to four times a week is beneficial in promoting spontaneous passage of distal ureteral stones.”
