Hebe de Bonafini, the president of the Madres de Plaza de Mayo, passed away this Sunday at the age of 93, and in homage to her memory, President Alberto Fernández decreed three days of national mourning.
Although this Sunday an intimate farewell ceremony was held that was organized by her daughter, Alejandra Bonafini, from the organization led by the fighter for Human Rights, they spread a call to fire her next Thursdaywithin the framework of the usual weekly march of the Mothers of Plaza de Mayo, where everything that the leader of the organization requested for the day of her death will be fulfilled.
“See you always, Hebe. The Mothers of Plaza de Mayo Association announces that our president, Hebe de Bonafini, has changed her house, as she always said of her companions who preceded her in leaving. She will continue forever in Plaza de Mayo. Not even a step back!” the organization wrote on its social networks.
In addition, we inform that at the request of Hebe herself, her ashes will rest in the Plaza de Mayo. In the course of the days we will inform the details.

In turn, they reported that “At the request of Hebe herself, her ashes will rest in the Plaza de Mayo”.
Bonafini’s remains will rest in Plaza de Mayo, as will Azucena Villaflor de Vicenti, the first Mother, whose ashes remain buried at the base of the Pyramid of May, the same place where 45 years ago the women in white scarves began a fight for Human Rights against State terrorism.
