On Friday’s show, Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary took over as usual, which was no doubt a welcome break for Holly and Phil.

Mum-of-three Holly was reportedly beside herself with the backlash she has received since visiting the in-state Queen on Friday.

Members of the public became furious when TV hosts appeared to avoid the long queue, after some of them waited until 2 p.m.

Holly called lawyers and a source said: ‘She is completely devastated. These few days have been incredibly difficult.

On Tuesday’s show, the two hosts claimed they were “too fancy to wait in line”, but stopped short of apologizing.

Holly said: “It was strictly to report on the event for millions of people who couldn’t make it in person.”

Last night an online petition asking This Morning to remove them topped 50,000 signatures.

The line saw a number of famous faces wade in, including Eamonn Holmes and Kim Woodburn.

The pair have also been mocked by a number of big name brands such as Dominos and The London Dungeon.
