The star of House of the Dragon, Fabien Frankel, had a terrible, but hilarious experience filming his first scene. As reported by IndieWireFrankel, who plays Ser Criston Cole in the prequel show of Game Of Thronesrecalled in a podcast that he froze the first time he found himself totally frozen in front of the camera.
The actor thought he had “fucked everything up”
” They started filming me for the very first time and I swear to god I literally forgot how to act “said the actor. ” I couldn’t! I did not know what to do. I remember saying that I screwed it up ” he added.
Miguel Sapochnik, the showrunner of House of the Dragon, then had to cycle through 250 more extras to get back to Frankel to see what was wrong. Sapochnik reportedly remained perceptive in front of the actor, trying to reassure him. ” VSwas just the worst fucking experience of my life “, added Fabien Frankel.

Frankel was not the only one to have been particularly nervous during the shooting. Emily Carey, who plays young Alicent Hightower, said filming a sex scene with King Viserys I Targaryen actor Paddy Considine was a daunting experience because of their age gap. Fortunately, Considine, reassuring, had managed to calm her down. ” You know, a 47 year old man and I, I was a little worried ”, explained Carey. ” Being 17, the first scene I shot was a sex scene and another where I bathe the king she had declared.
Serving as a prequel to the events of Game Of Thrones, House of the Dragon presents the novel on the screen Fire and Blood by George RR Martin, released in 2018. It shows how House Targaryen rose to become the powerful family that audiences know and love. The first season will consist of 10 episodes as HBO renewed the series for a second season.
