In Mont-Saint-Martin, the body of a headless and limbless woman was discovered in a disused area on Monday. The victim has not yet been identified.
Vision of horror for this 16 year old teenager. Early Monday afternoon, he discovered the dismembered body, headless and naked, of a young woman near a disused building in Mont-Saint-Martin, in Meurthe-et-Moselle.
“In a bush I smelled an unpleasant smell. I went to look closer and saw that it was a body. At first I thought it was fake, I didn’t believe it not”, says the young man at the microphone of BFMTV.
“I thought it was a model”
The friend who accompanies her does not want to bring herself to the discovery they have just made either: “I did not believe it at first, I thought it was a model. But then we saw a tattoo, piercings and there we understood that it was a real body”, explains this other young person.
“It’s scary, we’re scared for those around us,” he says.
The victim has not yet been identified. The deputy public prosecutor, Stéphane Javet, nevertheless specifies that this is a priori of a “relatively young” woman. The trunk of the victim will be autopsied soon at the forensic institute of Nancy.
“It is a clearly criminal case”, commented Monday Catherine Galen, public prosecutor of Val-de-Briey, whose prosecution has relinquished in favor of that of Nancy.
The judicial police are carrying out the investigations after the discovery of the body in this town located on the border with Belgium and Luxembourg.
Second headless body in the area
Last Thursday, about fifty kilometers further south, another headless body was discovered by walkers in the national forest of Moyeuvre-Grande, not far from Val-de-Briey.
The death of this man could go back several months according to Catherine Galen whose prosecution is seized of the case. “No link as it stands” exists between the two cases, however, underlines Stéphane Javet.
