Iguazú: they found the body of a man in the Paraná River and they believe it could be Argentine

The police of the locality Domingo M. de Irala of the neighboring country Paraguay found the lifeless body of a man last Sunday. The body was not identified and due to inquiries made in neighboring countries comparing the search for missing persons, they believe that it could be an Argentine citizen. The body is in an advanced state of composition, they presume that it would have been dead for at least 15 days.

According to the police report from the neighboring country, the body of a man was found and rescued by the authorities after being found in the Paraná riverbed. Initially, the authorities handle the hypothesis that the victim suffered a fall between the rocks. The macabre discovery occurred on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. in the Itá Verá neighborhood area of ​​the Domingo M. de Irala district.

The National Police reported the discovery of a corpse belonging to a man between 30 and 40 years of age, however they were unable to identify it because he did not have documents. Personnel from the Eastern Naval Area found the subject floating in the riverbed and rescued him to take him to shore. The victim was bare-chested and wearing only jeans. Prosecutor Viviana Sánchez ordered that the body be taken to the Núñez de Presidente Franco funeral home.

From the funeral home they consulted the Paraguayan police and the Brazilian Federal Police to find the relatives of the victim, however, they have not reported missing persons with these characteristics, so they presume that it could be an Argentine citizen.
