The search for a replacement for Martín Rodríguez has been an issue in Colo Colo. Víctor Dávila, who has a current contract in Mexican soccer and a high remuneration was the first on the list of Gustavo Quinteros placeholder image; Carlos Palacios, appeared as an option in the last hours, but is well considered at Inter de Porto Alegre; Fabián Orellana has historically sounded at the club but his signing has never been sealed.
For this reason, the sports director of Real Valladolid, Fran Sánchez, answered the queries made by La Tercera to clarify the future of the Chilean striker. “We are willing to listen to offers for Fabián Orellana. He is a player who is in the market, although he does not have a definitive exit clause for this market”
To later clarify that, “We have not received any offer from Chile for Orellana, as has been reported in the media. Neither from Universidad Católica, nor from Colo Colo. The player has one more year of contract with us. If an offer arrives, we will study it”added.
At the moment it is unknown if Colo Colo will add a new incorporation and the terms for this. In Black and White they have preferred to remain silent and focus on the negotiations to close the squad for the start of the second round of the National Championship.
The Cacique’s next challenge will be this Wednesday against Unión Española for the first leg semifinal of the Chile Cup. Match that will be marked by the return of the public to the Monumental.
