It was already foreseeable in a certain way during the current season, but now it is a beautiful reality: ALBA BERLIN basketball team is German basketball champion for the 11th time.

“We have been able to experience 11 cup wins and 11 championship wins together in addition to the other titles. But every victory and every championship is something special. We take the fact that we started with Interzero in the same week and ALBA BERLIN became German champion as a nice sign for our new company,” says a delighted dr Axel Schweitzer, shareholder of Interzero and member of the board of ALBA BERLIN basketball team.
The name of the Interzero group of companies, which is being formed as a result of the impending exit from the ALBA Group, stands for innovative, sustainable and customer-specific recycling and cycle management. Interzero’s vision is a world without waste.

The declared goal of the association is “… to support physically and mentally active citizens in shaping the world of today and tomorrow.” Thanks to this open approach and the broad cooperation, at ALBA BERLIN not only the Bundesliga men top, but also the Bundesliga women and the teams in other classes.

dr Schweitzer emphasizes that in sport, as in business, only through a courageous vision, perseverance and above all team play successes can be achieved. Basketball, with its fast game and sophisticated set of rules, is particularly demanding in this respect and offers good role models for employees and managers.
