Ski bazaar Feldkirch again heavily visited.

GISINGEN The ski club was a bit worried. Fortunately, the athletes were invited to the popular ski bazaar again this year. “Fortunately, the offer was again well received,” says President Michael Puchler. The almost 30 helpers were happy to welcome the numerous visitors in bright sunshine. A great opportunity to buy or sell used, well-preserved winter sports articles and winter sports clothing (skis, shoes, ice skates, ski clothing, etc.) at a reasonable price.

Due to the newly introduced one-way regulation and the partial relocation to the outside area, the corona regulations could be complied with and the association received great praise for the organization. Mainly families came from all over the country to stock up on “new” winter sports articles. In addition, there was again the opportunity to purchase the season ticket for 2021/22 through the Brandnertal mountain railways. The information stand was also well attended. “We are looking forward to the bazaar next year and thank all the helpers and visitors,” concluded Puchler.

Members honored at the YHV

In the “healthy living space” the combined annual general meeting of the last two years took place a few days before. At the beginning, President Pucher welcomed the guests of honor BM Wolfgang Matt, OV Peter Stieger, VSV Vice President Hans Dunst and Honorary President Edmund Wehinger. “The reports on the 19/20 season brought back memories of ‘normal’ times and the club year 20/21 could be dealt with briefly.” After the discharge of the board of directors, it was unanimously re-elected and Stefan Casanova was welcomed as a newcomer to the group.

228 years for the club

The honors were the highlight. Overall, President Michael Pucher and Vice President Heinz Ebner were able to honor an unbelievable 228 years of service on the board. In addition to the still active Gabriele König (15 yrs), Markus Rederer (25 yrs) and Günther Hefti (40 yrs), it not only brought a tear or two to the eyes of the honorable ones when three of the most influential members of the board said goodbye became. Alfred Hirschauer resigned after 44 years, Pepi Hammerle after 48 years and founding member Karl Allgäuer after 56 years.

These numbers were not referred to as historical just once in the congregation. Everyone is also aware that it is absolutely not a matter of course to devote so many years to an association with all your heart and soul. “Only with such consistency and unbroken cohesion is the Gisingen ski club the club it is today.” TAY
