A week ago the ‘Bild’ reported that Ryan Gravenberch “not happy anymore” is. Reason: the lack of operational times at FC Bayern. In the circle of the Dutch U21 national team, the new signing now spoke for himself.
Asked by ESPN if he was dissatisfied with his performances in Munich, Gravenberch replies: “To be honest, yes, I am. You want to play, but the coach chooses other players. I have to accept that, but it’s difficult.”
And further: “I was hoping for more minutes. But I have to stay calm.” Gravenberch came to Bayern from Ajax Amsterdam for 18.5 million euros in the summer. Since then he has only been on the field for 218 minutes.
World Cup chances are falling
As a result, the 20-year-old midfielder is now in danger of missing the World Cup in Qatar, which starts in November. Bond coach Louis van Gaal did not call Gravenberch to the current course. Instead, the playfully strong right-footer has to make do with the U21s.
