It’s official: Miguel Pesce will continue as president of the BCRA

Despite the doubts and the imminent end of his mandate, Miguel Pesce will continue its leadership in the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic (BCRA), the autonomous body that, according to the Organic Charter, has “the purpose of promoting, to the extent of its powers and within the framework of the policies established by the national government, monetary stability, financial stability, employment and economic development with social equity.”

The graduate in Economics from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) will sit on the throne of the BCRA until September 23, 2028. The decision involving Miguel Pesce follows according to what was reported through Decree 650/2022, published in the Official Gazette of the Argentine Republic (BORA).
