The Synopsis of Junk Head

Now that the introductions are done, I imagine you can’t wait to learn more about the Junk Head scenario. One fine day, a cyborg discovers underground passages where different artificial species live. His mission ? Look for the secret of their reproductions. As it progresses, the underworld begins to grow increasingly dismal and akin to a dystopia where the most intelligent creatures lay the foundations for a chaotic and unequal society.

Junk Head: in cinemas then on S-VOD?

With such an original approach, we could have expected a release on an SVOD service. However, Junk Head directed by Takehide Hori’ and produced by Kent Yoshida, the artist behind the special effects and animations of Okja and The Odyssey of Pi, will have the small honor of being screened in cinemas in France mid-May 2022. 4 months later, the feature film can be distributed in physical format and on VOD before potentially enriching the catalog of a streaming platform. It takes 15 months for Netflix, 17 months for Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, etc.
