Mexico City.- Johnny Depp’s ex-partner, Kate Moss, denied Wednesday that the actor had ever pushed or assaulted her during the course of their relationship.
Via video conference, the supermodel made her statement as a rebuttal witness in Depp’s defamation lawsuit against his ex-wife, Amber Heard.
During the trial, Kate Moss recounted the incident she had on the stairs during a trip to Jamaica with the actor.
“I slipped down the stairs and hurt my back,” Moss said. “He came running to help me, he took me to my room and got medical attention.”
The testimony comes after Amber Heard made a past reference to Moss and the rumor that the Pirates of the Caribbean star had pushed the model down some stairs on their way out.
“He never kicked me, pushed me, or threw me down the stairs,” said the British model.
The interrogation was carried out by Depp’s defense, who asked her if she had ever testified in favor of her ex-partner and she answered no.
Johnny Depp sued Amber Heard for defamation for writing a December 2018 Washington Post op-ed in which he described herself as “a public figure representing domestic abuse.”
