Despite some references related to the Covid situation, Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has now come to life thanks to films and TV series for Disney +. The announcement of a major crossover event and other projects is still missing, but Kevin Feige wanted to reassure fans by explaining how the future will be clearer in the coming months.
The future of the MCU will be clearer in the coming months
Interviewed on the microphones of Total Film to promote Thor: Love & ThunderFeige explained that several clues have already been sown in recent years, but fans will soon have a clear idea of where this is headed: “As we are nearing the end of Phase 4 people they may have a clear idea of another small piece of our great map even if we have sown some clues so far. In the coming months we will be much more direct on the future of the saga ”.
Obviously the head of Marvel Studios was very cryptic about it, but it all portends Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors) as the great villain of the next story arc. After introducing the variant of him in the Loki ending, we will see him again in action in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumaniadue out in 2023.
New announcements related to the future of the MCU are expected to arrive in September at Disney’s D23 unless this year’s San Diego Comic Con has a few surprises in store. In the meantime, we remind you that the next film on the roadmap will be the fourth chapter of Thor, to be released in Italian cinemas on 6 July.
We will see Chris Hemsworth as the god of thunder (the actor has returned to only one condition) and Natalie Portman will be Jane Foster again, but with a big upgrade: she will brand Mjolnir and become the Mighty Thor. To direct Love & Thunder will once again take care of Taika Waititi.
