Founded in 2009 in Foster City, Sledgehammer Games had already opened an Australian studio in Melbourne in 2019 and a Canadian studio in Toronto last May. As the studio prepares to deliver Call of Duty : Vanguard, Sledgehammer Games keeps swelling and settles in the UK to attract local talent, under the leadership of Liz Wyle, appointed Managing Director of Sledgehammer Guildford.
“As we have done at our other sites, we will seek to establish partnerships with schools and universities in order to foster the development of the next generation of talent. It’s not just about finding people who are already working in the sector, but also providing pathways for those looking to enter.“says Andy Wilson, COO of Sledgehammer Games.
As a first step, the Guildford studio will join teams from Foster City, Melbourne and Toronto to fuel the seasons of Call of Duty : Vanguard and work on future unannounced projects. Since its inception, Sledgehammer Games has also worked on Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 3, Call of Duty : Advanced Warfare and Call of Duty : WWII.
