Central defender Eric Bailly (28) has an opportunity to return to Spain’s La Liga. According to information from ‘as’, alongside AS Roma, FC Sevilla are also vying for the Ivorian’s signature from Manchester United. United are calling for a sum of twelve million euros for the defender. Bailly’s contract at Manchester runs until 2024.
Following the departure of Jules Koundé, Sevilla are currently scouring the market to find a replacement. Bailly fits the profile and also knows the Spanish league inside out. At Espanyol Barcelona, the 46-time national player went through the entire youth sector before he was drawn to Villarreal FC. At AS Roma, however, Bailly would meet promoter José Mourinho, who steered the defender from Spain to Manchester in 2016.
