A 23-year-old girl was stabbed to death by her 26-year-old ex-boyfriend, who later committed suicide by cutting his neck, in a house in the city of La Plata.
The event was recorded on Tuesday night in a house located on 58th and 138th streets of Los Hornos, in the capital of Buenos Aires, when the mother of the young man, identified as Sebastián Manuel Cipriano, found both bodies in the middle of a puddle of blood in his own house.
The woman told investigators that at night she went out for a walk with her dog, while her son stayed at home with his ex-girlfriend, Agustina Roumec, who had a relationship that she described as “conflictive and violent.” during six years.
When he returned, about an hour later, he noticed that there was a pool of blood on the floor of his son’s room, so he entered that room and found the two bodies.
According to the sources, Cipriano had a stab wound to his neck and another to his left wrist, while Roumec had cuts to his chest, back and arms, the latter clearly defensive wounds.
Investigators seized a knife found at the scene, which is believed to have been used in the femicide and suicide.
The young woman’s mother, when testifying before the Justice, said that her daughter and Cipriano had ended their relationship about six months ago, that she had begun to see another person and that he wanted to resume their courtship.
The investigation of the fact was in charge of the prosecutor Betina Lacki, head of the Functional Unit of Instruction 2 of La Plata, who ordered various proceedings and awaited the completion of the autopsies in the framework of the case entitled “femicide and suicide”.
