Leipzig: Rose on winter transfers

According to Marco Rose, RB Leipzig only wants to be active on the transfer market in winter if a top player is available. The 46-year-old told ‘Sky’: “You might make a winter transfer to fill a gap. I don’t recognize them yet. If we lose a player at the absolute top level for a little longer, then it’s only worth getting one absolute top player. I don’t know if you’ll get it in winter. These are things that we are now discussing internally without any pressure to act.”

With Péter Gulácsi (torn cruciate ligament), Christopher Nkunku (torn knee ligament) and Timo Werner (ruptured syndesmosis ligament), three important players in Leipzig are out due to injury.
