LG “accidentally” leaked details of its OLED TVs for 2022 and confirmed that it will release a 42-inch model. The information came via the HDTVtest website, where it is said that the company will launch 42″ LG C2 OLED TV and 82″ LG G2 TV.
HDTVtest reviewer Vincent Teoh found in his internet searches the exact models of LG’s new 2022 OLED TVs. The data were found at the Korean Radio Research Agency, the agency responsible for product certification in the country. The appearance of the identification code for TVs on the regulatory institution’s website shows that the existence of the products is practically confirmed.
LG will launch the second generation of its OLED TVs
According to information obtained by Vincent, LG will replace the OLED TVs A1, B1, C1 and G1, launched in 2021, with lines A2, B2, C2 and G2. It is very likely that by 2022 the OLED C2 TV series will be the best-selling of all the company’s lines due to its cost-effectiveness, especially considering that the 42″ size will be available.
42″ OLED TVs will be popular with gamers
The 42″ OLED TVs will likely be very popular with console and PC gamers due to the price they will be charged and the quality delivered. It is also worth noting that the G1 series had models up to 77 inches, but its second generation (G2) will have a version of 83″.
Although the name of the new LG OLED TVs from 2022 is already known, there is still no information about which technology will be used in the panel of each of the company’s lines. There is a chance that not only the “G” line will get an Evo OLED display, but other series as well.
