M. Night Shyamalan reveals title and release date of upcoming film

The American director, just crowned with the success of his thriller Old, is already embarking on a new project.

Just three months after the success of Old, his latest thriller, M. Night Shyamalan is already working on his new film, whose title and release date he has just revealed. According to the American media, it will therefore be called Knock at the Cabin and will be released in early February 2023.

As usual, the director of Sixth Sense and D’Unbreakable, known for his thrillers with dizzying twists, keeps the story of his new film to himself. He only indicated last August that he was refining the script, which will be shorter than his previous films:

“The next one. This is the third version. It’s down to the bone. The screenplay is less than 100 pages,” he wrote on his Twitter account, sharing a photo of the famous screenplay.

After several box office failures in the late 2000s and early 2010s, M. Night Shyamalan recently achieved massive successes with The Visit, Split, Glass and now Old.

Old adapts a French-language comic book, Sand castle, signed Pierre Oscar Levy (screenplay) and Frederik Peeters (design). We follow the misadventures of a group of individuals trapped on a beach where time flies very quickly. Children become adolescents, and adults become old people. The countdown begins…
