macOS Monterey: Safari with changed favorites bar, Universal Control as “Beta”

On Wednesday evening, Apple heralded another large update round for users of beta versions. Including macOS Monterey, i.e. macOS 12. The company’s Beta 10 this time brought more than mere bug fixes. It still crunches here and there because things like Universal Control, so the control of several devices – for example Mac and iPad – is still missing, at least: the corresponding point can now be found in the system controls (displays> further options), even if it is not clickable.

Instead, you get to see the label “Beta”, which leads to the assumption that this function is not yet ready for the release of macOS Monterey.

The Safari browser is also not finished yet, the innovations of which have sparked controversial discussions. Apparently, statements from users have been taken to heart and the favorites bar has been placed above the tab bar again. This was not the case in earlier betas and therefore “not that good at all”.
