Man suspected in connection with the murder of rapper Einár

Swedish Radio reports that one person is suspected of complicity in the murder of Nils Kurt Erik Einar Grönberg (19), who was known under the artist name Einár.

The rapper was found killed in Hammarby south of Stockholm in October last year. He was shot in the chest and face.

State Attorney Marina Chirkova says P3 Crimea that she will not comment specifically on what the person is suspected of, and that the evidence is currently too weak for the person to be remanded in custody.

The public prosecutor does not want to go out with the gender or age of the suspect.

Must be linked to gang crime

Swedish media report that it is a young man who was in Einár’s circle of friends who is now suspected of complicity in the murder.

according to Aftonbladet’s information, the person must have links to criminal networks. The newspaper writes that an initial interrogation has been carried out.

Expressen reports that the suspect has been punished for both violence and use of weapons in recent years.

The man’s lawyer tells the newspaper that he does not want to comment on the case.

Missing conclusive evidence

Aftonbladet has previously reported that the murder was considered solved within the police, which means that they think they know what happened, who ordered the murder and who carried it out.

Still, crucial evidence is missing, such as the murder weapon, and a phone that was used to film the man after his death.

One of the police’s theories is that the murder was a commissioned mission, and that Einár lived with a shotgun on his head.
