Are you ready for your advent calendar? We are not talking about the traditional Earth calendar that begins on December 1 and ends on the 24 of the same month, but rather the intergalactic version for Star Wars fans. The latter began on October 12 and will run for 12 weeks until Tuesday, December 28.
Disney has just announced the operation “Bring Home the Bounty”, which you can translate as “Bring the bonus home” in French (and it’s not a joke). This is a global campaign to introduce new consumer products every week. On the program, get ready to discover new toys, collectibles, books, clothing and other Star Wars merchandise. Are there any big surprises to come?
The future of Star Wars revealed at the end of the year?
As we can see in this calendar uploaded by Disney on the official Star Wars blog, 12 surprises await fans by December 28. While it is quite difficult to guess what is behind the first eight holograms, we can on the other hand make a few assumptions.
The week of December 7, a Lucasfilm logo can give us hope for a great announcement around Star Wars feature films. Founded in 1971, Lucasfilm is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2021. According to the latest rumors from the corridors and the Disney calendar, a new Star Wars film is expected by the end of 2022.
The week of December 14 could relate to one or more Star Wars games. It is impossible to say at the moment if a new title will be announced. In any case, with four games in preparation, this could be the occasion to unveil never-before-seen images of LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga or the first teaser of Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order 2. Not to mention the first preview of the Star Wars remake. KOTOR or the first information on the project developed by Ubisoft.
Other holograms could give us some hope like the week of November 2 and the head of Ahsoka Tano (a preview of the series in production?). October 19 or November 16 with the Mandalorian and Baby Yoda for information on season 3 of The Mandalorian?
We also have the week of December 21 with the helmet of Boba Fett which could concern the series in production and of course, the final announcement with the two lightsabers the week of December 28 which can also promise us beautiful things. .
In the meantime, nothing very incredible for the launch of this campaign with a series of very ugly merchandise like Star Wars crocks. Hopefully the sequel will be much better!
