Colo Colo will face Unión Española this Saturday in its fight to get closer to the first place in the National Championship standings. The meeting will be held at the Santa Laura stadium and the Chief will be a visitor, in every sense of the word, since the return of the public for this meeting is contemplated. However, the fans are not the main concern for the popular cast, the loss of Matías Zaldivia forces them to reorder the defense and look for a replacement for the most experienced behind.
Zaldivia has a tear that will have him off the court for about three weeks. The defender felt the discomfort in the middle of the game against Curicó Unido and was replaced by Maximiliano Falcón. His absence was immediately noticed and the Cacique had to resist the constant attacks of the torteros.
Gustavo Quinteros has alternatives to make up for Mati’s absence. Peluca Falcón has the first option, Daniel Gutiérrez is a good alternative and there is even the possibility that Jeyson Rojas will go to the center of the rear and Oscar Opazo will use the position of right back.
For now, the Uruguayan runs with an advantage to be a starter, however, it is not ruled out that Quinteros will try new formulas in practice this Thursday where he will have to define the starting team against the Hispanics.
For now, the most likely formation of Colo Colo would be with: Brayan Cortés in goal; Jeyson Rojas, Maximiliano Falcón, Emiliano Amor and Gabriel Suazo; Vicente Pizarro, Leonardo Gil, Pablo Solari, Gabriel Costa; Marcos Bolados and Iván Morales.
The meeting between Albos and Hispanos is scheduled for Saturday at 4:30 p.m. at the Santa Laura Stadium.
