Media: “House of the Dragon” was renewed for a second season even before the premiere of the first

According to Redanian Intelligence, “House of the Dragon” was renewed for a second season without waiting for the premiere of the first. Earlier in HBO claimedthat they first want to see the reaction of viewers and critics to the spin-off “Game of Thrones”but it seems they decided not to wait.
The note also says that work is now underway on the script for the second season – in parallel with the post-production of the first, the filming of which ended in February. The official announcement will presumably take place shortly before the premiere of “The House of the Dragon” or, on the contrary, after it has been shown.
Recall that the action of the show will unfold 300 years before the events of the original, when a bloody feud broke out between members of the Targaryen family, in which their famous dragons also participated. The premiere is scheduled for August 21st.
