Presented for the last time during Minecraft Live 2022, Minecraft Legends intends to change some codes established by its big brother Minecraft. If certain precepts of this new adventure have already been presented, the development team wanted to provide us with more details on what it calls the “chaotic pleasure” of the multiplayer mode.
Protect your base at all costs
They are four to participate in the last video published on the studio’s YouTube channel. Each in turn, Pete, Lee, Kyle and Dennis discuss the different aspects of player versus player (PVP) mode.
The rules are simple. Two teams of 4 players compete. Each must take control of several monsters to form a battalion that will attack the opposing team.
Ultimate goal of the maneuver? Destroy your opponent’s buildings while taking possession of resource points.
The main objective of the game is to defend your base. However, how it looks and the different buildings it houses will be up to you.
You will have the choice to use your progress in the main campaign of the game to deploy better units and have better items, this will allow you to improve the buildings of your base.
Wishing to keep an element dear to the success of Minecraft, the PVP mode of Minecraft Legends will offer a procedural generation system. Resources will be scattered randomly in the arenas, so that no match will be identical to the previous one.
Whatever happens, players need not worry. Minecraft Legends remains above all a construction and strategy game. Your allies will gather your resources and provide you with materials giving you the ability to build new structures. Your vision of the confrontation could make all the difference.
Will you choose to favor diamonds to obtain better equipment or will you favor stone and wood to build better defenses?
Minecraft Legends is due out Spring 2023 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC and will be available day one in Xbox Game Pass, PC Game Pass and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
