The Minister of Education is in New Yorkto participate in four days for Colombia on the World Summit on the Transformation of Education, where he will give announcements of a bilateral nature with other Latin American countries.
Although the main issue is to build the foundations of the knowledge society from an educational perspective, it was also known that he will meet with the UN Secretary General, Antonio Guterreswith whom he will talk about solutions after the loss of time due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
During the course of the week he will meet with Ministers of Education, where they are confirmed Marco Antonio Avila from Chile, and Maria Brown Perez from Ecuador. With them, a common agenda will be reaffirmed to achieve compliance with the Sustainable Development Goals, which are linked to the 2030 Education Agenda.
Likewise, Minister Gaviria will accompany the president Gustavo Petronot only in the speech before the general Assemblybut in the encounter with Ferdinand Reimersdirector of the Harvard Global Innovation Initiative; Christopher Neilsona professor at Yale University, and Virginia Shrimprepresentative of the UN Secretariat for Children and Armed Conflicts.
