The Misiones Police, together with the Misiones Tax Agency, intercepted 101 trucks and retained 3,115 tons of grain so far this year 2022, for a value of around 400 million pesos.
Thus, so far from the beginning of October and mid-November, at the mercy of different controls carried out on provincial and national routes, as a result of various irregularities, the Police detained 26 trucks carrying shipments of soybeans, corn and beans. .
As accurate data, the tons of soybeans retained were 2,300 in 63 trucks, 879 tons of corn in 36 trucks, and 29 tons of beans in 2 trucks, which after consulting with the regulatory body, were made available to said agency. In turn, in these controls, 4,860 liters of sunflower oil, 32 tons of alfalfa, 27 of flour, 7 of birdseed and 7 of sunflower were retained.
When the uniformed officers verify the irregularities in the framework of these procedures, the ATM personnel retain the vehicles until the situations are regularized and then they are released.
These withholdings are carried out for different irregularities, such as excessive weighing, lack of documentation, circulation due to income not authorized for tax evasion and the diversion of the corresponding routes for the transport of said loads.
