On Sunday, people with and without disabilities ran again for a good cause.
The hourly run by Lebenshilfe Vorarlberg has been a tradition in Dornbirn for 25 years and was a great festival again this year. Dornbirn kicked off the Lebenshilfe hourly runs last Sunday. Next Sunday, September 25, 2022, the next hourly run will take place in Lustenau.
Great enthusiasm in Dornbirn
At 11 a.m. the starting shot was fired for the inclusive running spectacle in the Stadtgarten at inatura. Among the runners were Andrea Kaufmann, mayor of the city of Dornbirn, and Thomas Winsauer, member of the state parliament, with his family.
The participants and onlookers were offered a great party with a varied program on the show stage. Adriane Feurstein, President of the Vorarlberg Lebenshilfe association, and Klaus Brunner, board member and self-advocate, were delighted with the lively participation. A total of 25,409 euros in donations were raised. The proceeds from the running festival directly benefit people with disabilities in the respective region.
The hourly runs in Dornbirn and Lustenau are again supported by sponsors this year: Dornbirner Sparkasse, Mohrenbrauerei, Lions Club Vorarlberg, Spar, vkw, Wiener Städtische and ZM3.
