Ms. Marvel: Season 2 could soon become reality

Good news for Ms. Marvel fans. According to an indiscretion shared by the well-known insider Daniel Richtman, in fact, the Marvel Studios would have given the green light to the realization of the second season of the series based on Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani), Marvel Cinematic Universe’s first Muslim superhero. The first season was particularly appreciated by critics and audiences as well as having launched an important mention in the last episode.

Ms. Marvel renewed for a second season?

In the last episode the mutant nature of the superhero was revealed. Although more linked to the Inhumans in the Marvel comics, due to her relationship with the Earthen Mists, this trait of Kamala has been modified, probably to forget the debacle of Inhumans, a non-canon series of the franchise that has not met with great success. But that’s not all, because the first season may have also introduced the Negative Zone. In the scene after the credits, in fact, we witness an incredible event: Kamala, after accepting her role as heroine of Jersey City (with a lot of acceptance from the family), is transported by her bracelets to an unknown place, by making none other than her heroine appear in her place, Carol Danvers (Brie Larson).

At the moment, however, confirmations or denials are awaited regarding the indiscretion reported on the net. The showrunners initially wanted to set Ms. Marvel two years after Avengers Endgame, then in 2025, but in the end they opted for a time frame of just one year. This is the official synopsis:

Ms. Marvel is the new original series from Marvel Studios that stars Kamala Khan, an American Muslim teenager who grows up in Jersey City. Passionate gamer and tireless writer of fan-fiction, Kamala is a huge fan of Super Heroes and has a boundless imagination, especially when it comes to Captain Marvel. Still, Kamala feels invisible both at home and at school; at least until she gets superpowers like the heroes she has always admired. Will life really be easier with superpowers?

Ms. Marvel served as the preamble for Captain Marvel: The MarvelsMarvel Cinematic Universe film in which Kamala will join forces with Carol Danvers and Monica Rambeau, a character introduced in WandaVision. The release is scheduled for July 28, 2023.
