In the global mobile market, the ecology formed around popular apps such as TikTok and Douyin is becoming increasingly mature. According to data from the Sensor Tower store intelligence platform, the cumulative number of TikTok and Douyin installations in the global App Store and Google Play has exceeded 3 billion. There are more than 900 applications related to TikTok and Douyin, two-thirds of which were released after January 2020.

With the global outbreak of the new crown epidemic in early 2020, the popularity of TikTok and Douyin has soared, and in the first quarter of 2020, it broke the single-season download record of a single mobile application. Short video outlets have attracted industry attention, and a large number of applications related to TikTok and Douyin have been born to obtain traffic dividends.

In 2020, there will be about 400 apps related to TikTok and Douyin on the global App Store and Google Play, which is twice the number in 2019. Although TikTok and Douyin still occupy the top download list in the world, the release speed of new applications related to them will slow down in 2021. In the first 10 months of this year, only 200 new applications were launched, which is equivalent to the scale of 2019.
