lately things with Netflix have not gone as well as usual, given that streaming services, despite having experienced a boom in recent years, where precisely Netflix had been the undisputed king, things seem to be changing, as the streaming app has dipped a bit in tandem with its drop in shares, according to recent reports.
That is why Netflixrecently announced that they were going to have to take certain steps, like going against their no ads policy and creating a new, cheaper plan that includes, but, on top of that, they might start taking other additional steps, as the streamer will go with the stream by adding a live streaming feature between its services, and according to Deadline, if Netflix adds the feature, they will be able to use it for live voting competition series like Dance 100 and other series of live competitions.
Now, Deadline also reveals that if the streamer decides to bring back Netflix at a prank fest that recently featured Dave Chappelle Y Peter Davidsonthey could stream it live, as well as point out that there could be a delay of a few seconds due to any random discrepancies, just that there are no current indications yet that the streaming service will be able to roll out this update anytime soon, but Netflix you could attract more subscribers by adding such a feature, or at least, that’s the idea.
As, Netflix has been trying to repair their image as of late by finding new ways to make money and it looks like the streaming service is having to make some tough decisions to keep their business afloat as they seem like they knew this was coming with them announcing a big change in service last year. Even in March, in a move that was sure to cause an even bigger decline in subscribers, Netflix announced plans to test technology that would identify accounts that are shared and then charge more accounts, an additional $3 to $4 per month.
“We’ve always made it easy for people who live together to share their Netflix account, with features like separate profiles and multi-streaming on our Standard and Premium plans”wrote ChengyiLongdirector of product innovation at Netflixin a blog post. “About the experiment, while these have been very popular, they have also created some confusion about when and how Netflix can be shared. As a result, accounts are shared across households, which affects our ability to invest in new TV shows and movies for our members.”
