New XPS 13 Plus and Inspiron 13 arrive in Brazil with 12th generation Intel CPU

Dell launched today in Brazil the new XPS 13 Plus and the new Inspiron 13. As the name implies, they are 13-inch notebooks, where the focus is portability combined with performance, leading to a compact and functional design.

For those who still don’t know Dell’s notebook lines, XPS brings premium products aimed at portability, but without losing so much in performance, considering that they don’t have a dedicated graphics card but are integrated into the processor. The Inspiron line aims to bring more affordable notebooks, but still delivering a good level of performance.

New XPS 13 Plus

The new Dell XPS 13 Plus comes with a 12th generation Intel Core i7 processor (i7-1260P) that combined with internal and external redesign made to achieve greater airflow, promises to deliver excellent performance, even in a compact housing. In addition, it is important to mention that the notebook has the Intel Evo certification, which attests to its differentiated performance in the ultra-portable market, better known as ultrabooks (learn more about the certification here).

To work together with the Intel Core i7-1260P, the XPS 13 Plus has a configuration ranging from 16GB to 32GB of LPDDR5 RAM (5200MHz), depending on the variant chosen. As if that weren’t enough, its touchpad is made of glass and has a technology to provide tactile feedback through sensors and motors, which when feeling the pressure of the user’s fingers, responds precisely, giving the sensation of clicks.

The keyboard of the new XPS has also been rethought and now the keys have been approximated in a way that leaves no space between them. With this, it was possible to increase the size of each key to give more comfort to the user while typing. In addition, the keys have a concave shape to bring an even better user experience.

note: The version sold in Brazil will have the keyboard customized for the ABNT2 standard.

Going to the screen, the XPS 13 Plus has versions with a touchscreen display or not, in addition to resolutions that can vary between UHD+ and Full HD+ with a brightness of 500 nits. Dolby Vision HDR technology is also supported, to provide a greater color gamut and brightness.

New Inspiron 13

Like the XPS 13 Plus, the new Inspiron 13 will feature the 12th generation of Intel Core i7 processors, which will work together with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM (4800MHz). In addition, your screen will also support Dolby Vision, but the resolution will be limited to Full HD and the brightness to 300 nits.

It is interesting to note that the Inspiron 13 has Dell’s ExpressCharge feature, which allows the battery to be charged up to 80% in just 1h. In addition, the average battery life of the notebook can reach up to 11 hours on a single charge.

In order to improve the experience with video calls, the Inspiron 13 has a Full HD webcam. But it doesn’t stop there, as Dell has implemented a system that reduces noise in the image captured by the camera even in low-light environments.

Launch and availability

According to Dell, the new XPS 13 Plus is now available in its online store with a starting price of R$10,599 for the most basic configuration. The new Inspiron 13, on the other hand, will be sold for from R$ 6,599, but will only debut on August 9, 2022 on the company’s website.
