Newcastle United are using the calm of the international break for long-term personnel planning. As the Magpies announce, homegrown Elliot Anderson’s contract has been extended for the long term. The 19-year-old Scot made four appearances with the pros this season. The contract of the U21 national player, who is primarily based in central midfield, originally ran until 2024.
