Niklas Süle is heavily courted. The reason: The 26-year-old could leave FC Bayern for free next summer, since the contract has expired. Therefore, an extension of the contract is also in the room. But now the salary demands of the Bayern defender became known. As “Sport1“reported Süle is said to have made his demands on Munich if they want to keep him in the squad.

The 26-year-old’s salary expectations are in the double-digit million range: Süle is said to have demanded ten million euros gross per year from FCB.

Niklas Süle is not sure about his future at Bayern

It remains to be seen whether Munich will be willing to pay this sum. Most recently, the defender had said in the “Süddeutsche Zeitung” that his future with the German champions was “completely open”.

He said: “If both sides come to the conclusion that it still fits together, I would do everything I can to stay here. But if you notice that one side no longer sees it that way, it may also be me say: I’m free of charge and I dare to do something new again. “

Süle has a key role in the Bavarian squad. Julian Nagelsmann used him in all seven Bundesliga games in the defense chain. The club paid him around seven million euros for this, reports media.

Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann now also commented on Süle’s situation. In an interview with the “Abendzeitung München”, the 34-year-old says: “It depends on his development and also on the market situation whether he wants to extend the contract or not. Then we will see whether it works for both sides.” Nagelsmann nevertheless emphasized that the 26-year-old “still has to develop something” with his potential.

There are also offers from England

If there is no agreement with FC Bayern, the 37-time national player would also have other options: According to media reports, Newcastle United has expressed interest.

The Premier League club has probably considered Süle because they would save the transfer in summer 2022. He is one of two Bayern players whose contracts expire next year. Corentin Tolisso could also make a free transfer in the summer of 2022.

Newcastle has a wealth of sponsors

It is not known whether Newscastle is also interested in this. The club could at least afford it, because it recently had a stable financial structure.

A Saudi consortium, which is under the influence of the Saudi Arabian State Fund and thus also under the influence of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, has joined the English association. “Skysportaustria“lists the consortium as number one of the richest football club owners. The estimated fortune should amount to almost 370 billion euros.

According to media reports, the move from Süle to Newcastle is currently unlikely, but the Bayern defender is generally open to a move to England.
