Now you can take up the fight against other players in Dune: Spice Wars

Funcom and developer Shiro Games have this week rolled out multiplayer functionality for Dune: Spice Wars. Early access owners can now test both collaboration and player-on-player matches in the new strategy game.

Dune: Spice Wars.

Via the Steam page Shiro writes that the multiplayer update introduces two modes. In one, two players on a team fight against two others. The second mode allows everyone to fly freely on each other.

Here you will also find a number of options for adapting the experience as desired, with, for example, choice of map size, sandworm activity and victory conditions. If you do not have four players, computer-controlled resistance can fill the remaining slots, with different difficulty options.

– Multiplayer has arrived. We are very excited to launch the first major milestone in our early access journey. The time has come to fool your friends with promises of spices, and then sit back and see who the desert takes first. Or maybe you want to help them, if it benefits you.

Our writer really enjoyed Arrakis when he tested Dune: Spice Wars earlier this year. The first impression was very positive, and Andreas Bjørnbekk called the game a delicious and fresh strategy breath.
