A 20-year-old man was arrested this Monday as the main suspect in the murder of 37-year-old Ángel Darío González, who died this Monday morning at the Oberá hospital, after receiving an injury with a knife on Sunday by the afternoon in the San Miguel de Oberá neighborhood. The police seized the weapon that the now detainee would have used to commit the attack.
Police sources announced that the incident took place on Sunday afternoon, when in the middle of an argument the young man punched the victim in the chest and then fled.
The victim was quickly transferred to the local hospital and due to the seriousness of the wound he underwent surgery. But despite doctors’ attempts to save him, he died.
As a result of the facts, the intervening Magistrate ordered the arrest of the person involved, as well as the search of his home located in the same neighborhood as the victim. In the middle of the search, the troops seized the knife but were unable to arrest the accused, who appeared this Monday with his lawyer at the police headquarters, being immediately detained and at the disposal of the Investigating Court No. 1 of Oberá.
