The official trailer of Resident Evil, a live action series based on the famous Capcom videogame franchise, has been released online. A completely original story, designed specifically for Netflix, which has already created some debates on the net among the historical fans of the saga.

Set between 2022 and 20236, Resident Evil tells the adventures of Jade Wesker, daughter of longtime nemesis Albert Wesker. Haunted by her past in New Raccoon City, her father’s chilling connections to the Umbrella Corporation but most of all by what happened to her sister, Billie, Jade must fight for survival in a world overrun by bloodthirsty infected and crazy creatures.
The series will consist of eight episodes lasting sixty minutes each. Andrew Dabb (Supernatural), while Bronwen Hughes (The Walking Dead, The Journey Is the Destination) will direct the first 2 episodes.
Lance Reddick will take on the role of Albert Wesker, actor seen in Fringe and John Wick. In the cast also Ella Balinska, Tamara Smart, Siena Agudong, Adeline Rudolph, Paola Nuñez, Ahad Raza Mir, Connor Gossatti and Turlough Convery. Resident Evil will arrive on Netflix on July 14th.
The Netflix series was announced in 2020, only to have been postponed due to the Covid emergency.
