The Oppo Reno7, Reno7 Pro and Reno7 SE are official. It was already becoming apparent that the smartphones would start. The Reno7 and Reno7 Pro will go on sale from December 3, 2021. The Reno7 SE will start a little later, namely on December 17, 2021. All of this information relates to the Chinese market. However, it is possible that the smartphones will come onto the market in Europe under different names.
The flagship is of course the Oppo Reno7 Pro 5G. The smartphone will use the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 Max as SoC and start with 8 or 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage space. There is also an AMOLED display with 6.55 inches diagonal, 90 Hz, FHD + resolution and 180 Hz touch sampling rate. The fingerprint scanner sits under the display. The battery is called 4,500 mAh with fast charging with 65 watts.
According to Oppo, use that Reno7 Pro 5G a main camera with 50 megapixels (IMX766), a macro camera with 2 megapixels and an ultra-wide-angle sensor. For the latter, Oppo does not currently indicate the resolution. A webcam with 32 megapixels and the Sony IMX709 sensor rests on the front. The factory already serves 12 with the coating ColorOS 12 as the operating system. A special feature is that a pulsating LED runs around the camera hill, which can also serve as a notification signal. The Reno7 Pro 5G costs the equivalent of around 514 euros (8/256 GB) or 555 euros (12/256 GB) in China.
That Oppo Reno7 5G has to make some compromises and can only charge the battery with a maximum of 60 watts. In addition, the screen shrinks to 6.43 inches – but remains an AMOLED display with 90 Hz and FHD +. The main camera stands at 64 MP and is again accompanied by a macro camera with 2 megapixels and an ultra-wide-angle sensor with in this case 8 MP. A selfie cam identical to the Pro model rests on the front.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G serves as the SoC of the Reno7 5G. Here, too, there is either 8 or 12 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of storage capacity. The price starts at the equivalent of 375 euros.
All that’s missing is that Oppo Reno7 SE 5G. The display is identical to the Reno7 and the capacity of the battery is unchanged. However, it is only charged with a maximum of 33 watts. The SoC is also changing, it is now the MediaTek Dimensity 900. It is supported by 8 GB of RAM and a choice of 128 or 256 GB of storage space.
On the back there is a 48 MP camera sensor (Sony IMX581), which has 2 megapixels twice (macro, depth sensor). The front camera uses 16 megapixels and uses the Sony IMX487 sensor. In China, the new Reno7 SE 5G costs the equivalent of around 305 euros.
